2018 Josef Chromy DELIKAT SGR Riesling (2018)

Made in a Germanic style, the grapes are handpicked to retain high natural acidity and ensure minimal oxidation. Pressing commences immediately, and the juice is transferred to stainless steel tanks. The fermentation is conducted at cool temperatures, and stopped when the balance between the natural sugars and acid is optimal.

Delikat (Czech for delicate) is a crisp, refreshing Riesling with approx 60 grams per litre of residual sugar (SGR sixty grams residual) and low alcohol.

The palate is dynamic, building in weight and texture while remaining light-footed and lacy. Lemon sorbet, developing into lemon meringue, biscuit and toasted rice.
